"Speaking of finding one’s community, something that has been nourishing my soul lately has been the Spanish and Chinese learning sessions that we’ve had with Cissy, Daniel, and Estiben!" Emily, I'm so ashamed that I didn't continue with classes. I appreciate the patience you had with me and my clumsiness. Despite my brief participation, it was one of the best experiences of this trip!

Emily, I had no clue you were exchanging Spanish, Chinese, and Quechua lessons with Cissy, Daniel, Derek and Estiben! I think that is really special. I appreciate your attentiveness to the many virtues of the communities you visit. I too want to think about and empathize more with the many paths people take to find or create community.

Hey Emily, Thanks for sharing your experiences this week. I wish I had heard about the story night prior (although I may have been crotched over a toilet bowl that day lol). It sounds like it was a really interesting event. I really enjoyed what you had to say about them finding themselves and building a community here. We are often so quick to judge others and what they are all about I am glad you got to spend a little bit of time hearing their stories.

Hi Emily. I loved reading your blog; I also wrote about Kusi Kawsay School, and I found your focus on their green space as a centre of their community to be a really great reflection. As well, your culture and language learning club with Cissy, Estiban, Derek Daniel sounds like such a valuable experience! I also really enjoyed reading about the storytelling night you experienced at Solseed, and your thoughts on the new age tourists. It's so great how you seek out these unique experiences and connections!

Emily, your experience blogs are always such a pleasure to read. I really appreciate the open mind you face with the week with- and the thoughtfulness in your reflections looking back. Your language exchange circle is something really special. It's really a beautiful opportunity to learn and share from other people.
